Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which MindAI Technologies Limited ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") may issue refunds for subscriptions to the iLegalWorks platform at www.ilegalworks.com. This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By subscribing to our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Free Trial Period
2.1 We offer a free Trial Period for new users to evaluate our services before committing to a paid subscription.
2.2 During the Trial Period, no payment is required and no charges will be made to your payment method.
2.3 At the end of the Trial Period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the Trial Period ends.
2.4 Post-Trial Conversion: Once your account converts from a free trial to a paid subscription, no refund will be issued for dissatisfaction with the services. You are encouraged to fully evaluate the platform during your Trial Period.
3. Monthly Subscriptions
MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
3.1 No Refunds: Once payment has been processed for a monthly subscription period, no refund will be issued under any circumstances, regardless of usage level or reason for cancellation.
3.2 Cancellation: You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to the services until that date.
3.3 No Pro-Rata Refunds: If you cancel your monthly subscription before the end of the billing period, you will not receive a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of that month.
3.4 Automatic Renewal: Monthly subscriptions automatically renew on each monthly anniversary unless cancelled. It is your responsibility to cancel before the renewal date if you do not wish to continue.
4. Annual Subscriptions (Discounted)
Annual subscriptions are offered at a discounted rate in exchange for a commitment to a full year of service. The following refund conditions apply:
4.1 Minimum Usage Period
Refund requests for annual subscriptions may only be submitted after a minimum of six (6) months of active subscription (the "Minimum Usage Period"). No refunds will be considered before the expiry of the Minimum Usage Period.
4.2 Consumed Months Recalculation
Upon a refund request, all months from the subscription start date to the refund request date will be recalculated and charged at the full monthly subscription rate (i.e., the standard non-discounted monthly price).
4.3 Unconsumed Months Calculation
The refund amount for remaining unconsumed months will be calculated based on the discounted monthly rate (i.e., the annual fee divided by 12 months).
4.4 Early Termination Penalty
An early termination penalty equivalent to two (2) months of the discounted monthly rate will be deducted from any refund amount.
5. Refund Calculation Formula
The refund amount for annual subscriptions shall be calculated as follows:
Refund = Annual Fee Paid - (Consumed Months x Full Monthly Rate) - (2 x Discounted Monthly Rate)
Where:
- Annual Fee Paid = The total amount you paid for the annual subscription
- Consumed Months = Number of full months from subscription start to refund request
- Full Monthly Rate = The standard monthly subscription price without any discount
- Discounted Monthly Rate = Annual Fee Paid / 12 months
6. Worked Examples
6.1 Example A: Refund Eligible
Scenario: User subscribes to an annual plan at USD 600/year (discounted from USD 100/month to USD 50/month) and requests a refund after exactly 6 months.

Scenario: User subscribes to an annual plan at USD 1,200/year (discounted from USD 150/month to USD 100/month) and requests a refund after 7 months.

6.3 Example C: Significant Refund Scenario
Scenario: User subscribes to a premium annual plan at USD 2,400/year (discounted from USD 300/month to USD 200/month) and requests a refund after exactly 6 months.

7. Negative Balance Outcome
7.1 If the refund calculation results in a negative balance:
- No refund will be issued
- No additional payment will be required from you
7.2 The Company will not seek recovery of any negative balance from you.
8. Refund Request Process
8.1 How to Request
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@i-Legal.me and must include: your full name and account email address; your subscription plan and start date; reason for refund request; and confirmation that you understand and accept this Refund Policy.
8.2 Processing Time
- Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 14 business days of receipt.
- We will notify you of the refund calculation and amount (if any) within this period.
- Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 30 days of approval.
8.3 Account Termination
Upon processing of a refund request, your subscription will be terminated and your access to the services will cease. Any data associated with your account may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.
9. Exceptions and Discretionary Refunds
9.1 The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to grant refunds outside of the terms of this policy in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to: documented service outages exceeding 72 consecutive hours; material breach of service by the Company; or other circumstances deemed appropriate by Company management.
9.2 Any discretionary refund granted by the Company shall not be construed as a waiver of this Refund Policy or create any precedent for future refund requests.
10. Premium Services
This Refund Policy applies to subscription services provided by MindAI Technologies Limited. Premium Services provided by iLegal Solutions Legal Consultancy LLC are subject to separate refund terms as set out in the Premium Services Terms and Conditions.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Changes will not apply retroactively to existing subscriptions.
